Stakeholder Skills Workshop

Working effectively with all stakeholders is an essential ingredient for any successful Government program or project.

This seminar, designed for Government staff, provides details of industry association operational dynamics and insight into working effectively with these groups.

The seminar is geared to bring real experience of industry and Government together to assist Government staff achieve greater results in dealing with industry and minimise political and program risks in your relationships.

As a Minister said to the Business Review Weekly recently, referring to officials as well, "a vital part of my job is to re-engage the business community".

This seminar will help your Department diagnose issues and re-engage the business community.

Peter Jennings, while working in the then Cabinet Policy Unit, said that there must be an increased use of stakeholder engagement in policy making; the public wants to be engaged and there are higher expectations of Government in this regard.
